ANZAC Day 2026

To commemorate ANZAC Day 2025, the Embassy of Australia, its Consulates-General, and expat community groups are hosting services and events throughout the nation.

Lest We Forget (ANZAC Day)

Anzac Day, 25 April, is one of Australiaโ€™s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War, landing in Gallipoli in 1915.

ANZAC stands for โ€˜Australian and New Zealand Army Corpsโ€™. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as Anzacs, and the pride they took in that name endures to this day.

To commemorate ANZAC Day 2026, the Australian Embassy, Consulates-General and many expat community groups are hosting services and events. Find an event in your area below.
