TANZOT's ANZAC Day Houston
ANZAC Day in Houston, Texas
Each year on the 25th April, Australians and New Zealanders commemorate ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Day to recognise the sacrifices that Australian and New Zealand servicemen and servicewomen have made not only in defending their country, but in upholding their nations’ longstanding commitment to peace and security.
To mark this special occasion in 2019, join TANZOT’s (The Australia and New Zealand Society of Texas) Houston ANZAC Day ceremony event at the Houston National Cemetery on Sunday, 28 April 2019.
All TANZOT members and non-members are welcome to this special remembrance. Please bring your own chair. Please feel free to bring your own floral tribute.
After the ceremony, in the Spirit of the ANZAC tradition, let’s continue the remembrance and meet at Swanny's (6224 Theall Rd, Houston, TX 77066) for a few drinks, some lunch, and a game or two of Two-Up in the Beer Garden. There is a playground and plenty of space to run around for the kids.
There will also be an ANZAC biscuit bake off. Bring your best batch of bikkies!
