Building resiliency & seizing opportunities in Advanced Manufacturing
GLOBAL DIGITAL TOWN HALL: BUILDING RESILIENCY AND SEIZING OPPORTUNITIES IN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
As the world begins to consider plans for the recovery of the global economy, there is recognition that we have an opportunity to ‘build back better’.
Australia has important decisions to make. With almost a million Australians unemployed or underemployed as a result of the pandemic, we need to examine those sectors that can stimulate growth, unlock the talent and ingenuity of our people and create the variety of jobs needed to support the new economy in a COVID-19 constrained world.
On Tuesday 26 May 6pm – 7.30pm EDT, join us and Advance.org as we bring you a panel of global leaders including Anthony Pratt, Robyn Denholm, Andrew Liveris AO and Pamela Melroy to join Australia’s Ambassador to the United States, the Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO, in a conversation about building resiliency and seizing opportunities in Advanced Manufacturing. The conversation will be hosted by Advance.org Chairman Yasmin Allen and facilitated by Advance.org CEO, Maria MacNamara.
Discussion will include:
- the need to transform established organisations and supply chains, particularly in a post COVID-19 world
- the importance of scaling of high growth enterprises globally, such as those producing autonomous vehicles
- the need to stimulate the launch of new businesses, such as those unlocking opportunities in space
- the data and technology that underpins the success of the new economy organisations and the opportunities available for Australian entrepreneurs.
Date and time: Tuesday 26 May 6pm – 7.30pm EDT
