Urgent need to travel

If you need your new or replacement passport to travel urgently, please contact the Passports Office at which you will lodge your application to find out whether you are eligible for our expedited service. If you are eligible, your travel document will be ready for collection or dispatch within two working days (forty-eight hours) of your application and all required documentation being received. There is a Priority Processing Fee for this service and special conditions apply.

If you are eligible for our expedited service, please note that your application fee must be paid with cash, cashier's cheque or money order, or by Visa and Mastercard if you are lodging in Washington, New York or Los Angeles. You cannot pay the fee by personal cheque. Do not sent cash through the mail. Clearly mark the envelope if priority processing is required.
