Receiving your new passport

If you wish to have your new passport sent to you by Federal Express, you will need to pay an additional USD15 (for up to three passports to the one address).  Alternatively, you can collect your passport at no charge from the office where you lodged the application

If you prefer, you can provide a prepaid letter-sized envelope with the courier company of your choice (eg. UPS, FedEx, etc).  However, you must use a service that requires a signature on delivery.  We will not use your courier envelope if it allows a delivery driver to leave your package unattended.  We do not send passports via the US Postal Service.

Acceptable Methods of Payment

Payment must be provided at the time of your interview.  We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard only (credit or debit).  Cash and cheques are not accepted at any office.

You may have another person pay on your behalf if you wish.  If they are not present with you at your interview, we can accept their credit/debit card payment if they complete and sign a Credit Card Authorisation Form.  You must present their signed form at your interview.

Urgent Travel:  Emergency Passport

If you need to travel urgently, please advise your interviewing officer when you lodge your application.  Please provide evidence of your need to travel (eg. tickets or letter from your employer).  You may be eligible for an Emergency Passport.  An Emergency Passport contains only four visa pages and has a limited validity. It does not contain a chip and cannot be used to enter the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA).  It is usually issued within 2 working days, if all requirements have been met.

Please note that not all applicants are eligible for an Emergency Passport. You should discuss your eligibility for the Emergency Passport with your interviewer before making any firm travel plans.
