About the Position
The Defence Conditions of Service (CoS) Officer Position is responsible for personnel administration, policy and coordination services for members of the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) and their recognised dependants on long term postings to the USA and Canada. The primary role is to facilitate administrative support to ADO members and their recognised dependants administered by ADS (W).
The position is responsible for facilitating administrative support, reviewing and recommending on services and applying ADO CoS for to ADO members and their recognised dependants personnel posted to the U.S. Territories and Canada.
The key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to
Manage Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) personnel and their family members arrival and departures processes
Provide formal briefing sessions to ADF personnel and respond to queries on Conditions of Service
Coordinate ADO personnel entitlements including, accommodation, healthcare, processing of payments and reimbursements
Provide analysis on ADO personnel’s posting circumstances as it pertains to overseas Conditions of Service entitlements
Coordinate tender processes and perform related administrative duties
Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
Manage electronic and hard copy records management.
Candidates must address all selection (including desirables) criteria for applications to be considered.
Demonstrated ability to achieve timely results through working independently or as part of a small team with limited supervision.
Demonstrated ability to utilise Microsoft Office products and web based tools.
Demonstrated ability to develop productive workplace relations with stakeholders, third party providers and clients.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to advocate on behalf of members, families and Defence.
Demonstrated ability to perform research and analysis and distil information into effective formats for dissemination to a diverse and widespread client base.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound judgment.
Demonstrated adherence to privacy, confidentiality and organisational policies.
Qualified in ADO Simple Procurement or ability to complete the requirements.
A valid clean U.S. Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
